Book Village Malaysia – Melaka

As a result encouraging growth earned in our first Book Village in Langkawi, the State Government of Melaka under the able and dynamic leadership of its Chief Minister, the Book Village Foundation of Malaysia was called to facilitate the opening of another Book Village in the country.

Beginning January 2006, preparations were already in place with several technical meetings held and discussion between related Government Agencies to expedite the launching of the project scheduled to be in September 2006. Programmes and activities have already taken place to promote the coming of the latest attraction in the country strategically located in the Botanical Garden of a reserve forest area in the historical state of Melaka.
